How to Measure Body Size for Pajamas at Home

1. What You Will Need

  • Pencil and paper
  • A ruler
  • Tape measure
  • Well-fitting pair of pants (optional)

2. How to Measure

From size S to XXL, our nightwear collection is available in all sizes for adults. Follow the below steps to get the measurements for adult pajamas:

  • Chest or Bust. Place the tape measure at the fullest part of your chest and wrap it around to get the measurement. Make sure you keep the tape measure parallel to the floor.
  • Waist. Start by measuring the narrowest part of your waist. Normally, this is right above the belly button and below the rib cage.
  • Neck. For this one, simply place the tape around the base of your neck. This should be just below your Adam’s apple. Put one finger between the tape and your neck to ensure it isn’t too tight.
  • Inseam (legs). Use tape to measure the distance from the uppermost part of your thigh to your ankle. However, you can skip it by measuring the inseam based on a well-fitting pair of pants instead.

Now, when you have your body measurements, it is time to help your kids figure out which pajama size will fit them! Here is how to measure your kid body size for pajamas:

  • Length. Get your kid to stand barefoot close to the wall. Then, run the tape measure from the top of their head down to the floor. Make sure their heels always touch the wall.
  • Chest. Place the tape measure in at the widest part of your kid's chest. Wrap it around and make sure the tape doesn't twist. Ensure you don't pull it too tight.
  • Legs. Simply measure from your kid's inside crotch down to the knees in order to get their leg measurement.

Note: When purchasing pajamas for your little one, we recommend buying one size up.
